Who we are
Zenlio is a website design and marketing service for local tradespeople, operated by Dan. Our website is zenlio.co.uk. When we say "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Zenlio.
What data we collect
We collect information you give us directly through our website forms. This includes:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your business name, trade, and business address or postcode
- The services you offer and areas you cover
- Information about your business such as years of trading, qualifications, and reviews
- Any additional information you choose to include in a message or form submission
Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/city level). No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
How we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry — when you submit a contact form, we use your details to get back to you
- To build your website — when you sign up as a client, we use the information you provide in the intake form to create your website content, service pages, and area pages
- To manage your account — to process payments, send monthly reports, and communicate about your service
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Zenlio:
- Web3Forms — processes form submissions and delivers them to our email. Web3Forms does not store your data beyond delivery. Their privacy policy
- GoCardless — processes payments via Direct Debit. GoCardless is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Their privacy policy
- Cloudflare — hosts our website and provides security. Cloudflare may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, page requests). Their privacy policy
- Calendly — manages call bookings. When you book a call, Calendly collects your name and email. Their privacy policy
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on this website. Google may collect basic usage data. Their privacy policy
How we store your data
Form submissions are delivered to our email inbox and are not stored in any separate database. Client project files are stored in private GitHub repositories. Payment data is handled entirely by GoCardless — we do not store bank details, card numbers, or Direct Debit mandates ourselves.
How long we keep your data
If you make an enquiry but don't become a client, we keep your contact details for up to 12 months to follow up, then delete them.
If you become a client, we keep your data for the duration of our working relationship and for 6 years after it ends, in line with HMRC record-keeping requirements for business accounts.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it)
- Object — object to us processing your data for specific purposes
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format

Cookies
This website does not use cookies. We do not track your browsing behaviour, run retargeting ads, or use any analytics tools that require cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We won't make significant changes without updating that date.
