Two coaches, one brand built to get remembered

Matt Kerr and Haaroon Ali coach personal training and cricket across Hartley Wintney, Hook and Fleet. The brand already had presence: black background, an orange-to-red-to-yellow gradient, a wordmark that doesn't apologise for itself. We built the site to match it. Seventeen pages, nine training guides, eight self-hosted coaching videos, and three separate booking calendars so a new client never has to guess which one to click.

A brand built to be seen

Real coaching photography, not stock. Matt and Haaroon are the site, the same way they're the team a client actually trains with.

The brand behind it

Built to hold its nerve

Personal training brands often go soft: pastels, stock photography, wellness clichés. Matt and Haaroon's didn't need any of that. Black anchor, a hot orange-to-red-to-yellow gradient, a confident wordmark. We kept it exactly as it was and built every page to carry it.

Coaching you can actually watch back

Eight clips from real sessions, each with its own poster frame and loaded only when a visitor presses play. Self-hosted, not embedded, so there's no other platform's branding or autoplay suggestions pulling anyone away.

Matt is the local anchor: Level 2 and 3 personal trainer, ECB Level 2 cricket coach, on the ground across Hartley Wintney, Hook and Fleet. Haaroon runs the online and coaching side from Colne. Two different specialities, one shared belief: technique and encouragement over intimidation. The site's job was to carry that partnership properly, not just list a set of services.

The brand first

We didn't touch the identity. Black anchor, the orange-red-yellow gradient, Space Grotesk headings against Inter body copy, all locked before the first page was built. The job was making seventeen pages hold that energy without it turning into noise: the gradient used as an accent on buttons and stat callouts, never as wallpaper.

Then the system

Cricket coaching in this area was wide open, nobody local was ranking for it. Personal training was more contested. So the site is built to win both: three service pages, personal training, cricket coaching, and the combined-performance offer that almost no local competitor matches, plus nine Training Ground guides answering the questions people actually search, from protein basics to how to bowl faster. Every page carries full schema, so Google and AI assistants can read exactly who Matt and Haaroon are and what they coach.

The booking, wired properly

One generic contact form isn't enough when a visitor could be after a free consult, personal training, or cricket coaching specifically. Instead of funnelling everyone into the same box, each intent gets its own Google Calendar link straight into Matt's diary: three buttons, three different bookings, no email back-and-forth to work out which one someone actually wants.

Where it sits now

The site is live. It's early days, so we're not going to quote traffic figures we don't have yet. What Matt and Haaroon have now is a site that matches the energy they coach with, seventeen pages doing the work of introducing them properly before anyone picks up the phone.

Matt believes I can do more than I think I can, and it rubs off. I always leave feeling proud and pumped for the day.
